The defence lawyer of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Late Begum Khaleda Zia and present Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman in corruption cases filed against them Advocate Aminul Islam has appointed as Chief Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT).
The Law Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Monday, cancelling the appointment of former Chief Prosecutor Advocate Tajul Islam which had been issued on September 5, 2024.
Aminul will enjoy the same status, salary, allowances and other benefits as the attorney general, the notice added.
