The Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former Member of Parliament, Professor Mia Golam Parwar, has said that his party is ready to contest all 300 constituencies in the upcoming national Parliamentary election. Speaking as the chief guest at a reunion event organized by Islami Chhatra Shibir’s Khulna Metropolitan unit on Friday morning, Parwar urged all Jamaat activists to enter the electoral field with full force and dedication.
Held at Al Farooq Society auditorium in Khulna under the slogan "Compelled by Harmony, Anchored to Our Roots" the event brought together members and alumni of Chhatra Shibir spanning from 1977 to 2025. In his speech, Parwar said, “Now is the right time to bring Islam into the Parliament. Those who were once involved in student politics must now become more active and grab this opportunity.”
The event was marked by emotion as Parwar recalled the contributions of several former Shibir leaders and activists from Khulna, including Aminul Islam Biman, Sheikh Abdul Halim, Amanullah Aman, Rahmat Ali, Abul Kashem Pathan and journalist Sheikh Belal Uddin.
His heartfelt memories created a poignant moment during the program. Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir Secretary General Nurul Islam Saddam spoke as the keynote speaker.
