Bring back two key accused of the murder of Inqilab Moncho convener Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi including prime accused Faisal Karim Masud and Alamgir is underway. ISPR.
The two accused — Rahul, also known as Faisal Karim Masud, 37, and Alamgir Hossain, 34 — were detained from the Bangaon area of West Bengal.
According to relevant sources, DGFI Director General Major General Mohammad Kaysar Rashid Chowdhury recently visited India, after which Indian authorities intensified action against individuals who had fled Bangladesh. Faisal and Alamgir are believed to have entered India illegally through the Meghalaya border following the killing and later moved between different locations before attempting to take shelter near the Bangaon border with plans to return to Bangladesh.
They were arrested late Saturday night and produced before a court in Bidhannagar, West Bengal, on Sunday. The court granted police 14 days of custody for interrogation.
Officials said that once legal procedures in India are completed, efforts are underway to expedite their return to Bangladesh.
Sharif Osman Hadi was shot on December 12 last year on Box Culvert Road under Paltan Police Station in Dhaka.
