The International Khatm-e-Nubuwwat grand conference was held at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital today. The gathering began at the venue from 9AM on Saturday with inaugural speeches and it continued till 2PM.
Scholars from five countries, including Bangladesh, were participated. The conference was organised by the Shommilito Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Parishad, while the Khatm-e-Nubuwwat protection committee Bangladesh was overseeing the arrangements.
Varioous fooreign participants were present in the conference like from Pakistan: Maulana Fazal-Ur Rahman (Member of National Assembly and President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan), Islamic scholar Maulana Ilyas Ghuman, Secretary General of Wifaq al-Madaris al-Arabia Maulana Hanif Jalandhari, and Ahmad Yusuf Banuri (Deputy Muhtamim of Yusuf Binnoori Town Madrasa).
From India Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani (Muhtamim of Darul Uloom Deoband), Maulana Mahmood Madani (President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind), International Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Movement.
Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdur Rauf Makki, from Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Musab Nabil Ibrahim, professor at Al-Azhar University, from Egypt.
Among Bangladesh’s top religious scholars attending are Shah Muhibbullah Babunagari, Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, Mamunul Haque, Khalil Ahmad Qureshi, Mahmudul Hasan, and Mufti Muhammad Abdul Malek (Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque).
The conference is being presided over by Maulana Abdul Hamid (Pir Sahib, Madhupur).
