BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has requested supporters not to gather or create any disruption at the London airport during his departure.

Speaking at a Victory Day discussion in London on Tuesday, he said, ''I have been with you for a long time for 17 to 18 years, InShaAllah, I will return home on December 25.'' and urged party supporters not to create any disturbance at the London airport and requested that no one gather there during his departure.

''On December 25, InShaAllah, I will return to the country. That is why I want to speak to you calmly and peacefully today.''

The discussion meeting was presided over by BNP Chairperson’s Adviser and UK BNP President MA Malik. "Now I say again, the times to come will not be particularly easy. So, everyone must be vigilant, everyone must be united."

Addressing expatriate BNP activists at the event, Tarique asked: "Can you stay united?" The assembled activists and supporters loudly answered, ''Yes''. ''I warned you a year ago that difficult times lay ahead. The conspiracies would continue and the election would not be easy. Many of you can now see that what I said then is happening.''

Tarique Rahman added, ''If we stay united, only then will we be able to implement our plan to rebuild the country. We can build the Bangladesh we dream of and establish accountability only if we remain united.
