about 51000 tonnes octane and furnace oil is due to arrive: BPC

A vessel carrying around 26,000 tonnes of refined octane is scheduled to arrive at Chittagong port from Malaysia on Wednesday.

The Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) is supervising the import operation. The vessel, MT Central Star, flying the Marshall Islands flag, is expected to reach the port's outer anchorage within the day, a BPC official confirmed.

Authorities said another shipment of fuel oil is also en route, as the vessel MT Eastern Queens, carrying approximately 25,000 tonnes of furnace oil, is due to arrive at the outer anchorage on the same day.

Despite ongoing tensions in the Middle East, BPC officials said efforts are continuing to ensure uninterrupted fuel imports and stable supply across the country.
