Chattogram, September 15, 2026: A historic Tariqat Conference was held at the Jamiatul Falah National Mosque ground in Chattogram on Monday, September 14, drawing hundreds of thousands of devotees and followers of the Tariqat.
The conference focused on love for, following and emulating the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), with speakers highlighting the spiritual teachings associated with Hazrat Shaykh Syed Gausul Azam (RA), regarded by followers as a distinguished Khalifa-e-Rasul.
According to the speakers, Hazrat Gausul Azam (RA) played a historic role in spiritually awakening people through Tawajjuh and imparting what followers describe as the inner spiritual light (Noor-e-Batin) of the beloved Prophet (PBUH).
They said that those who receive and embrace this spiritual light strengthen their faith and religious practices while developing greater certainty (Yaqeen) and sincerity (Ikhlas). The Tariqat, they added, teaches its followers to distinguish between halal and haram and to lead their lives with generosity, compassion, humility and gentleness.
The conference also highlighted various practices followed within the Tariqat, including reciting Durood Sharif 1,111 times daily, making up any missed recitations within 24 hours, Faiz-e-Quran, Muraqaba and Zikr-e-Jali, among other practices associated with the Sunnah.
Spiritual Practice for Women at Home
Speakers also highlighted what they described as a distinctive feature of the Tariqat: women can receive Noor-e-Batin through Tawajjuh-bil-Ghaib while remaining in their own homes.
According to the organizers, women do not need to visit the Darbar Sharif for this purpose, nor does the spiritual guide need to appear before women at the Darbar. Followers described this as a contemporary and spiritually oriented approach that is rare in the modern world.
The speakers said that people of all ages—including young people—are increasingly embracing the Tariqat and seeking to shape their lives according to its teachings.
They referred to a message attributed to Hazrat Gausul Azam (RA): “O youth! Pray, fast, send Durood upon the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and bring peace to your motherland.”
Speakers said that this call for peace and spiritual reform has particular significance in a troubled world. They emphasized that the central objective of the Tariqat is to attain the pleasure of Allah and His beloved Prophet (PBUH), leading ultimately to spiritual fulfillment.
