The Newspaper Editors and Publishers Association of Bangladesh (NEPAB) has congratulated the new government formed under the leadership of Tarique Rahman following the 13th National Parliamentary Election.In a statement issued on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, NEPAB Convener Mannan Maruf and Member Secretary Mohiuddin Chowdhury Liton extended their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the newly elected Prime Minister and Parliamentary Leader of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.They conveyed their sincere felicitations to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman for securing a landslide victory in the 13th National Parliament Election and forming the government with a strong public mandate.
The association expressed optimism that under Tarique Rahman’s prudent and visionary leadership, the country will move forward toward good governance, strengthened democracy, political stability, enhanced press freedom, and sustainable economic prosperity.
NEPAB also reaffirmed its commitment to working collaboratively in support of democratic values and the advancement of a free and responsible media in Bangladesh.
