As dawn broke, leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) started thronging at the Polo-Ground field in Chittagong city. The BNP men with small groups are arriving at the rally venue, while some had already taken positions there since the night before.
After nearly two decades, the arrival of the party Chairman Tarique Rahman in Chittagong and the grand rally have generated great enthusiasm among party leaders and activists. The whole area surrounding the rally venue has been decorated with banners and festoons.
Centering the grandrally, tight security have been beefed up in the whole city. Three-tire security measures-- red zone, yellow zone and green zone-- have been taken in and around the are, including the stage.
he BNP Chairman reached in Chattogram after two decades. He was accompanied by BNP Standing Committee members Salahuddin Ahmed and Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury there.
