Fuel prices raised again

Press Today Online

The government has revised fuel prices at the consumer level for the month of June, raising the prices of petrol, octane, and kerosene by Taka 5 per liter.

The Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources announced the new rates in a press release on Sunday.

According to the ministry, the prices have been readjusted in alignment with the rising costs in the global market. Under the new pricing structure, octane will now be sold at Taka 145 per liter, petrol at Taka 140, and kerosene at Taka 135. The price of diesel has been set at Taka 115 per liter.

These new rates are scheduled to take effect across the country starting Monday, June 1.

The government stated that this periodic readjustment is part of its ongoing policy to synchronize domestic fuel prices with international market fluctuations.
