The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested wife of the prime suspect Faisal Karim Masud, his brother-in-law, and a female acquaintance. RAB officials identified them as Samia, Shipu, and Maria. According to a press breifing of RAB's Media Wing Samia and Shipu were arrested in Narayanganj on Sunday, while Maria was taken into custody in Dhaka. All three were later transferred to Paltan Police Station, he said.
RAB officials said multiple cheque books bearing Faisal Karim Masud’s alleged signatures, along with several electronic devices, were recovered during the operation.
Wing Commander Chowdhury said the detainees were taken into custody on suspicion of maintaining communication with the prime suspect both before and after the shooting incident involving Osman Hadi.
He added that the individuals have been handed over to the relevant police station and that further investigation into the matter will now be carried out by police.
