The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will formally unveil its election manifesto on Friday for the the upcoming 13th national parliamentary elections.
Party Chairman Tarique Rahman will announce the manifesto at 3:30PM at the ballroom of Pan Pacific Sonargaon, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will preside over the programme, while Nazrul Islam Khan, a Standing Committee member and chairman of the party’s central election steering committee, will moderate the event.
Speaking about the manifesto, Mahdi Amin, spokesperson of the central election steering committee, said, ''The BNP is a party of the masses and a party of grassroots empowerment. Under the guidance of our chairperson Tarique, we have worked with people from all walks of life. Initially, we put forward 31 points and carried out programmes across every division, district, upazila, union and ward in Bangladesh.''
He said the vision and roadmap of the party's top leadership have been given priority, while equal importance has been given on the real problems of ordinary people and what they want. ''Our main goal is to design plans in a way that is practical and sustainable.''
